Ein Feindfahrt in der Biscaya, 3 Seetage. (1st Watch Officer. Completed one war patrol, 54 at sea. On 07.06.1944 during the second patrol the boat was attacked in the Biscay Bay by a British Wellington aircraft from No. 179 Sqdn RAF causing damages a B-24 Liberator aircraft from No. 224 Sqdn RAF also took place in the attacks which wounded the U-boat commander and forced the boat to return to Brest after 3 days at sea.
