Captured on 21 Nov 1942 when the blockade breaker ANNELIESE ESSBERGER was scuttled under the guns of USS MILWAUKEE in position 00° 54' North; 22° 34' West, approximately 400 miles east of Saint Paul Rocks, Brazil. All hands took to lifeboats and were rescued by USS MILWAUKEE. | |
